Skinhead filters – WIP 7

I applied a couple of Tan filters to the Skinhead to warm up the green/black of the paint. I used Ammo MIG Tan for 3 Tone Camo

As you can see from the pictures the result is a lot warmer hue.

The Ammo MIG Filters are convenient and work well. The main remark I have is that they require constant shaking to prevent the pigment from sinking to the bottom of the jar.

Another point to note: during application it may appear that only the thinner and no color is going on the surface. So there is the temptation to overload the brush. The fact is that when dried the pigment will actually be visible. Additionally, filters have a much better effect when thin and subtle: in my experience it is better to do two thin, uniform applications than one heavier one (that won’t turn out as uniform and consistent.

Next steps some chipping and then a clear coat seal prior to decals.
